Richard Rossetto is a modern artist who embodies the raw urgency of contemporary expression. His practice carries the grit of punk attitude—art that doesn’t just hang quietly on a wall, but strikes with the force of a gesture, leaving audiences shaken and awake.

Known for his stream‑of‑consciousness word drawings—often morose, foreboding, and unflinchingly honest—Rossetto illuminates the unspoken interrelations between humankind and the world around us. His work moves fluidly between fine art and performance, shifting from traditional renderings to radical experiments in social media art.

Having lived the artist’s life, Rossetto insists that ART IS LIFE. He is equally at home in the intensity of a cage fight, the stillness of a beach, or the solitude of the studio. Each piece is singular, a one‑of‑a‑kind transmission from a being who is, in his own words, more human than human.

Richard John Rossetto began his formal training at Victoria School of the Arts in Edmonton, Alberta. Afterward, he pursued an extended period of self‑directed study, deepening his practice through exploration and experimentation. He later attended the Alberta College of Art and Design in Calgary, where he expanded his technical and conceptual range.

Rossetto remains a firm believer in daily learning—approaching each day with the intent to grow just a little better, weaving discipline and curiosity into the fabric of his creative life.

Most of Rossetto’s works are privately owned, passed hand‑to‑hand and collected through word of mouth. To own a Rossetto is to know Rossetto — and those for those who do understand that, such a connection is a rare and resonant gift.
