About The Artwork

This sculpture is about the myth of Narcissus and Echo. Narcissus, enraptured with himself, gazes at his image in the pool which reflects the monster that narcissism is. Echo, besotted with him, becomes another reflection, and is doomed to lose herself. Gradually she can only echo the end of sounds and becomes a lifeles satellite. The daffodils signify the possibilty of transformation.
