This playful little piece was inspired by travel, and the anticipation of going on a trip. The color blue reminds me of limitless possibilities, and the holes in this composition are an expression of portals. The happy colors, the overlapping of shapes, the mix of textures, marks and opacity, and the pointed bits poking over the side of the canvas all lend a feeling of excitement and edge. The materials are: acrylic on canvas, wood, pvc plastic, mylar, painted silk, watercolor and paper.
