About The Artwork

This work reacts to the excitement, conflict surrounding competition between prominent politicians and their supporters during election campaigning. Collage is a medium sympathetic to printing techniques and is readily interpreted in the urban environment. The viewer can respond to the creative and deconstructive elements which influence outcomes in both a contrived intentional way together with opportunities to open the possibilities of serendipitous interplay.

Born in Yorkshire in 1947. Travel has greatly influenced my outlook, interests, style and techniques. My background includes experience of furniture making, engineering and technology. My early working life included building timber houses in Denmark. As a young adult I went to university and became a teacher of Art, Technology and Art History teaching at Clifton College Bristol, Shebbear College Devon and the Royal School Bath where Was appointed head of Art, Design and Technology. Being interested in community projects I became Co founder of the St Pauls Carnival Bristol and the Sofa Project. Currently I live and work in Dursley England. In addition to developing my creativity I founded a local Art History group. Just completed a large community project which is being exhibited at a local church here in Dursley specially for Easter. It's called 'Everything is connected to everything.'
