The series serves as a testament to the enduring resilience of the Iranian spirit amidst the chaos of war. Persian miniatures gracefully traverse the war-torn landscapes of Khorramshahr, navigating through destroyed buildings and encapsulating the harrowing life situations experienced by the people during the longest battle of the 20th century. Each composition is a visual chronicle, capturing the duality of destruction and the unwavering strength woven into the fabric of Persian heritage. Digital decoupage becomes a powerful means to layer history with contemporary symbolism, allowing me to create a visual dialogue that transcends time. The characters, once symbolic of artistic expression, now embody the untold stories and collective memory of a city scarred by conflict. Through this artistic lens, I endeavour to present the enduring consequences of war on Persian heritage, weaving a narrative that invites viewers to contemplate the intersection of art, history, and the human experience.
