Mexico
I was born in Mexico City, my interest has been directed towards art predominantly, the university studies I have done deal with Graphic Design, Creativity Applied to Arts and Art History. Since I was young I have participated in workshops of several artists in Mexico and Canada. My interests have led me to the practice of drawing and painting as means of expression. I have participated in collective exhibitions in Mexico, Canada and Nicaragua. I have sold work to Americans, Canadians, Germans, Mexicans and other nationalities. My recent work includes three aspects: • oil painting: with original images that represent the ideas that I recreate in my mind, they are medium-sized paintings • acrylic paint: in which I develop images that contemplate the culture of my country, representative elements and symbols made in small formats • Realistic drawing: in which I work with photography of characters or locations expressly related to the Mexican environment and with documentary characteristics, elaborated in the standard photography formats I would like that apart from looking at my work a painting or drawing of good invoice, the audience could know the images we make the Mexican painters and thus appreciate their expression and color. My pictorial work represents images although figurative tend to be surreal, because of their magic, not because they are fantastic. You could say that in the case of drawing production, I would consider it documentary because of the topics and technique I handle. I currently reside in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, where international art and culture meet. I develop in a medium rich in creative experiences and I really enjoy the work I do.
