PUNTO CIEGO es una serie que investiga la relación entre el blanco (luz, saber, certeza) y el negro (oscuridad, no saber, incertidumbre). El trabajo está basado en las esculturas de las tumbas de la catedral de Saint Denis (Francia) que representa un grupo de personas orando a un cuerpo sepultado. Ezequiel Quines comienza un proceso pictórico donde las formas son vaciadas de su historia y pone en juego el desconocimiento sobre el contenido que subyace en las esculturas. De este modo se apropia de ellas para después devolverlas a la materia con arcilla negra, en contraposición al mármol blanco de las esculturas que fundamentaron los primeros dibujos, generando así un ciclo entre estos dos principios. El resultado de estas imágenes visibilizan aquello oculto en los rituales escultóricos de las tumbas.

Ezequiel Quines (Buenos Aires, 1987) studied drawing and painting at the Escuela de Bellas Artes Carlos Morel and in art courses with recognized artists such as Guillermo Roux, José Alberto Marchi and Laura Olalde. He attended visual art tutorships with José Marchi and Diana Aisenberg. His artworks have been showed in numerous group and solo exhibitions at important museums, galleries and art centres in Argentina and Europe such as Centro Cultural Recoleta, Centro Cultural Dorrego, Alianza Francesa, Galería Newberry, Galería POPA, Galería SANTA, Le Viaduct d ́Arts (France), Instituto Quevedo (Spain), among others. His artworks were selected in various national contests such as Premio Bancor, Salón Faber Castell, Salón Emilio Petorutti, Salón Manuel Belgrano y el Salón Nacional. He was awarded with a mention at the Salón Nacional de Dibujo (Museo Emilio Petorutti), the Stimulus Prize at the Salón de Pintura del Museo de Arte de Mercedes (2018), the second prize at the Salón de Pintura del Museo Casa Carnaccini (2018), the second prize at the Salón Pintura Vicentín (2018), the second prize at the Salón Nacional de Pintura Museo de Arte Mercedes (2019) and Jury's honorable mention at the Bienal Nacional de Dibujo del Museo Franklin Rawson (2019).
