The Blue Moon phase image and Moonflower image were captured at night in my backyard garden. The composite image was then created and manipulated using Photoshop. The Moonflower bloom is a tropical American climbing plant of the morning glory family, with large, sweet-smelling white flowers that open at dusk and close at midday. A blue moon is reference to an additional full moon that appears in a subdivision of a year: the third of four full moons in a season.
