The Fear Print

This work is a digital painting over a stock image. This experimental digital art piece is inspired by the great cubist painters like Picasso and Duchamp in it's rendering of areas of the figure through flat planes, and even tones, but it does not go so far as to remove all solidity of the central character. The colors are subdued and cold, and the small room is blackened, which add extra menace to the feeling of fear and the sense of foreboding I was trying to portray in this work. The original photo and the pose of the model are the work of the great photographer Marcus J Ranum, whom I'd like to thank for allowing me the use of his wonderful stock image.
