About The Artwork

1970's styles were warm, earthy colors... oranges, yellows, greens, reds... young women were free to have a beer at the local haunt with friends.. somehow the sun was warmer and the sunsets over the beaches more brilliant... here is one girl leaning on the bar of an outdoor haunt at the beach... having a beer and watching the sun go down with friends... those were the days...

Email feedback to: jodieoflaherty@yahoo.com My Father, Great-Grandfather, and Great, Great-Grandmother were artists from whom I still have paintings hanging in my home. Drawing was employed by my parents to keep us kids still when necessary and for "journaling" before I could even write. I draw/paint from memories, thoughts, ideas, and inspirations and what the world looks like to me now as an artist who is blind.
