About The Artwork

To paint this artwork I was inspired by the ballet movie "Black Swan." I chose to paint an ballerina to represent life. Living is like dancing! Sometimes you fall and get up again, sometimes you get hurt, but you must keep "dancing" and trying to do your best. When people see this painting I want them to feel some convince that no matter how often you fail you should never give up.

Hana Bici was born in Kosovo. Hana from early childhood presented a great passion for art in general, such as painting, music, dancing etc. But she also liked to study human nature and society, like social and gender relations, different stereotypes, racism, different cultures, different social mentalities, genders etc. She decided to devote herself to the study of sociology, where she also did a master's degree too. Hana decided to leave paintings as a hobby, but her soul full of passion for painting found itself to old love again, so she started to express her feelings through paintings. For Hana, painting is one of the tools of expressing her feelings about social phenomena, such as: discrimination, various prejudices, stratification, racism, human rights, violations etc which phenomena she has studied in sociology, so she always try to convey good lessons through paintings. She also presents good and positive things. Hana comes from a family where art was generally worshiped so she believes that art talent is only inherited from genes, and can never be learned from any kind of school.
