About The Artwork
This piece relates back to another recent painting on glass, (Kelp Forest Dweller), is offers a different take on this figure that emerges from the salt water, surrounded by bobbing kelp and other seaweed. A spirit figure of the coastal Northwest, perhaps. Also, just a playful and spontaneous composition using various techniques that appeal to me. The work is offered unframed. It has an ample border that can be matted, trimmed, or floated, according to the buyers tastes. Base paper is 300 lb archival Arches hot pressed watercolor paper, with the deckled side edges preserved. Signed, dated, and titled in pencil in the lower right corner. Also, I stamped it with one of my carved chops, using gray. The neutral colors allow the two accent colors to pop out (yellow and green). For 4 months starting on June 1. 2022 this piece has been moved to 'Not For Sale' as it is part of a solo show at Perry & Carlson in Mount Vernon, WA. If it doesn't sell during that time it will be returned here to the 'For Sale' category. In the meantime, prints are still available for sale through Saatchi.
