Carpe Diem. Latin for, literally, seize the day. Artist has read that it was an admonition to Roman Military leaders in pitched battle. That there comes a time, which might only last for minutes, when the day might be seized. Best leaders know, and or are advised, when it is, and take advantage. It has evolved from its literal meaning to something like a wise guide for life. Seize your opportunities because they will not come again. Her life has proven much like that. It saddens her, and she has regrets that she was not able to seize the few "days", that is opportunities, that very occasionally came her way. It gives her further anguish that combination of contributory factors means that such "days", opportunities, will not come again for her in her lifetime. Some will say that one makes the best of whatever circumstances, opportunities: because that's you. That's how you have evolved. Pangloss drivel, Artist suggests. Others in contrast advise that best military leader does well to listen to advice from as many others as he can. She, personally had no one to advise her, or council her, that opportunities were there to be taken advantage of. She had neither the advice nor the experience. So she could not be all she could be. Artist has ventured to put this into painting, And he dares say: Everywoman has her Regrets. A ghostlike person (so Artist is told), at end of her days, realises all that written above. She did not, and or could not, seize her day. Such is profound sadness. It's Everywoman not Every Woman, which has a different meaning and usage. Just a few lines of oil paint on a piece of canvas.

Lowborn, not a Virtue-Signaller, lacking Luxury Beliefs or their status, but neither an inverted snob, nor a snob. Definitely not intersected. US Cultural Marxism or post-truth? Thanks, but no thanks. Orphaned, outcast, male, straight, white, capitalist (a tiny fish in a very big pond), quite conservative in fiscal and social matters. In long term and friendly relationship. Prankster, yet pragmatic, singular, evolved, authentic, ironic, sardonic, sceptical. Comparatively deprived early life. Which has had permanent effect. Not least in being grateful, for what I've got. And for true opportunities both recognisable and takeable. These themes within some of these works. Never faked a sarcasm too. Personally loyal to those who have tried to, or have, helped. What else is a man of honour to do? Really enjoy painting, sometimes. In silence, without media lies etc., noticed sound of own breathing as I paint. Expressive, rather than regular! Still learning after all these years. Thank you for your interest.
