Acrylic painting on 300 gram cardboard. Work carried out in 2021 and belonging to the collection The art of the flight As a tribute to Sergio Pitol, this recent series shares the title with the homonymous book of the famous Mexican writer based in Xalapa, the capital of Veracruz where the Andalusian painter lived for more than a decade, and whose work has had a certain influence on some of his creative phases in the plastic arts. The Mexican writer Carlos Monsiváis, in turn, wrote of Pitol that "he escapes from the bonds of sedentary lifestyle and nomadism, and undertakes the journey where ideas are forms of life and reminiscences ...".
