"This painting, extremely skilfully drawn, shows a human in a space suit contemplating a maelstrom in a dramatic landscape amid Cyclopean masonry." TJ McNamara - NZ Art Reviewer. This painting questions the assertion that the universe is built with us in mind. A man stands on the moon's last mine, with fate in the form of a looming black hole in the distance. A fish out of water trying to escape the inevitable.

I've been an artist from as young as I can remember. I developed a passion for painting in high school. My art is influenced heavily by philosophy and myths, religion and politics. After years of conventional portraiture, I returned to the fantasy and science-fiction aesthetic which had been much maligned in my teenage years. Returning to a style of art I loved viscerally with a more developed worldview, added a weight to artworks that endeavour to capture a small corner of the world of ideas. These paintings derive from the world of thinking and argument, and the realities of life about which I was blissfully unconcerned during my childhood.
