About The Artwork
"Il Profumo" is a work inspired by the novel "The Perfume" by Patrick Zuskind. The painting depicts the scene where the character ventures alone in the mountains following his inner sense and in the end finding the cave where another human being has never gone before. It tries to recreate the peaceful but yet tragic search of the protagonist to find a place where he belongs and could finally feel complete and even happy.
