Legong Glitch is my interpretation of a Balinese dancer. The dancers faces are extremely expressive. The movements are vibrant, hipnotic and at times very energetic. The costumes are rich in golds and colours. In my painting I tried to reproduced all these aspects. As I'm exploring the real/surreal relationship and creating my style I wanted the painting to have the feeling of a "glitch", like an hologram appearing and disappearing, like something that could be real or not. As the dancer move around telling a story through her body and hands movements the spectator can feel the energy changing from one of calmness to a more energetic and dark one. I hope anyone looking at this painting will feel the energy that this dance can generate.

I was born in Rome, Italy where I lived and studied Graphic Design until I moved to London in 1992. London was the place for me to become a Tattoo Artist. I would spend the next 25 years creating and tattooing original designs for clients from all walks of life. I have now relocated to Thailand where I live with my husband and two sons and where I took up painting full time. I have always loved art in all it's forms, and although I'm still a tattoo artist and sometimes do graphic work, my true love has quickly become fine art and painting. I enjoy mixing and painting with powder pigments from Italy. My inspiration comes from the varied and vibrant flora and fauna life around me, from my past tattoo expertise, from all the art that I was able to absorb while I was living in Italy and of course from all the weird, bizzarre and divine around us . Painting full time has been a long felt project of mine and I'm thrilled to be doing it. As the topic of dying ecosystems takes its toll I want to highlight what we could possibly loose in the very near future by combining these elements in a surreal and fantasy like world and showcasing the beauty of all earthlings. My paintings aim to be as much beautiful and deep as political. In the near future I want to bring to life a collection of works based on the human subconscious, its interaction with animals and how he relates to nature as well as delving into the dark aspect of the human mind.
