About The Artwork
A beautiful acrylic painting of a single flower plucked from a magnolia tree. The muted brush stroked background of pthelo blue/green and burnt sienna lets the white flower grow out of the background with three dark leaves at its base. Inside the white shape of the flower are cool ultramarine shadows. The flower faces to the left of the viewer and looks like it is suspended in the background space. This is a digital photograph of the original painting and has noise added to the photograph. The original graces the home of my mother-in-law above her fireplace since 2011.
