The Negro River has transparent waters, but which appear dark because of the waste that is deposited on the ground, while the Solimões River has muddy waters. The waters meet and do not mix due to their different density and temperatures. This painting is being shown in the River in Motion exhibition, at the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation Museum of Life, in Rio de Janeiro. The exhibition began on December 20, 2019, it was interrupted at the beginning of the pandemic, and then it was reassembled. Due to the great success of visitation, the exhibition was extended by two years, finished at December, 20, 2023. You can watch videos about the exhibition at: 1) https://youtu.be/mFbMcL7KrQ8

I'm a Brazilian artist from Rio de Janeiro. In my artwork I use linear movements involving geometric and organic shapes that dialogue between vivid colors. I create figurative contemporary and abstract images. My main theme is about biodiversity and natural resources. _http://www.flickr.com/photos/rodrigoandrian/ _https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_XcKrCWtiuI&t=31s
