PAPA-DADA Print

DADA was an alarm intended to wake up modern art. Here on SaatchiArt I feel a need to attempt a stirring up of so much of the art selected by the curators. Where by the way are the male curators? 'Chance' was essential to the DADAists and in this painting too. I love the 'chance' aspect of art work. Frankly I've had enough of the painted figures with squashed strawberry faces - pathetic gorillas - and stupidity just to be different. Too much copying, too much sweetness, too much consideration of sale-ability and not enough consideration of artistic values. Where are the balls? They are there but seldom selected and if they are not selected (by that imbalance of female/male curators), they will seldom be selected in collections. If they don't appear in the curators choices they will likely sink like a stone which begs the question; Who curates the curators? SaatchiArt.com requested information about what is behind this painting and I hope they will not find these comments too hard to take. I shall probably be put 'to the back of the queue' (an expression much expressed recently by EU leaders and the President of the US when the UK decided to leave the EU). I have not put this work up for sale just yet as I want to live with it for a while as I do with most of my paintings. But please make an offer if you are interested.
