About The Artwork
Painted with Old Holland oils. Covent Garden is a district in London on the eastern fringes of the West End, between Charing Cross Road and Drury Lane. It is associated with the former fruit and vegetable market in the central square, now a popular shopping and tourist site, and the Royal Opera House, which is also known as "Covent Garden". As you might expect, a light rain started to fall across London, bringing forth iconic scenes of Londoners and their umbrellas on this beautiful cobblestone road.

Born in 1965, Jeffrey Dale Starr has been compelled to draw since the age of 4. Classically trained, Jeffrey worked in various media over the years, at last settling on oil painting at the turn of the millenium. His work can be found in private and public collections all over the world. Along with painting and poetry, Starr is addicted to travel (Tokyo and Paris being two favorite destinations). He is working hard to gain fluency in Japanese and has a goal of learning 10,000 kanji. He currently resides on Cape Cod in the seaside village of West Barnstable with his beloved wife Starrina and their beloved cats Yuuki and D'Artagnan.
