About The Artwork
This piece depicts a group of the Maasai tribe - men & women carrying children, firewoods and pots. It also shows the realistic African way of life. The tribesmen have been painted wearing ‘Shúkà’ which is the Maa word for sheets traditionally worn in a wrap-around style across the body. These sheets come in different colours like Red, Blue, Black, Green as well as in multicoloured attractive African designs.
