About The Artwork
What/who inspired the work? The desire for wild abandon. What do you hope its viewers will feel/think? Enriched, engaged, dizzy, in love... Why did you choose the medium, subject matter, style? Once I stomped on an icy river until it cracked and I fell through the jagged gap that opened beneath me. It was freezing of course. After I pulled myself up and ran shivering home my mind skimmed across the spectre of death slipping and sliding around emotion and fear and exhilaration of grazing calamity. I remember seeing bursts of color as my freezing spring pumped blood to bulging eyes.
