Hi, I paint characters that are distinctive and singular. My new figuration is base on the “being and its spirit.” I define that approach as “portrait of timeless space of our thought.” I want to keep this particular link between the sketch of the pencil and the applied paint, without erasing all the pencil lines to keep a trace of it. Created by layers of paint and drawing lines. This figuration is tied to an abstraction, made with lines, shapes and colours, with an inner perspective of leaving an internal spiritual message to each of my characters and in the atmosphere that can be revealed. The bailee's of our paradoxes. From the series: The allegorical candour. Acrylic, graphite and pencil on canvas, 2022. 122 X 168 cm, 48 X 66 pc. 8 oz cotton canvas roll with four coats of gesso. Wood frame support and decorative frame available on demand. A premonition in a work created with a feeling of yellow and blue with the first version of the bailee, “The bailee’s of our silence.” Painted just a few weeks before the invasion of Ukraine. And completed with the second bailee, “The bailee’s of our paradoxes.” Like a statement of our contradictions and inaction, facing the colonization by force, of a free country, in our so call, modern world.

Hi, I'm SPARE, Sylvain Paré. I paint characters that are distinctive and singular. My new figuration is base on the “being and its spirit.” I define that approach as “portrait of timeless space of our thought.” For now I work on the series: The allegorical candour. I want to keep this particular link between the sketch of the pencil and the applied paint, without erasing all the pencil lines to keep a trace of it. Created by layers of paint and drawing lines. This figuration is tied to an abstraction, made with lines, shapes and colours, with an inner perspective of leaving an internal spiritual message to each of my characters and in the atmosphere that can be revealed.
