It was painted in response to news story about polar bears breaking into human spaces. In searching for food, some polar bears have started consuming human food which is not part of their conventional diet. Hopefully the painting serves as a gentle reminder that time is really running out regarding our efforts to save the polar ice caps. The title refers to a difficult situation in which there is one final chance to put it right.

Self - taught artist. My paintings balance a rational vision of life with one that asserts the power of the unconscious and dreams. I have drawn inspiration from mysticism, ancient cultures and Indigenous art and knowledges as my way of imagining alternative realities. At the core of my work is to challenge imposed values and norms, and a search for freedom. I have been highly influenced by Jungian psychoanalysis and have been using art to delve into the unconscious through symbolism, as well as four main Jungian archetypes —the persona, the shadow, the anima or animus and the self.
