About The Artwork
"An Old Crimean House" was written in the open air in the Crimea, in Sevastopol. These days it’s not easy to find a building, which preserved the old traditions and charm, so this house became a real godsend for me. The work is made in an easy and quick manner. The value of the open air painting is in the speed and concentration, in the desire to capture the elusive, and the color found in nature. The coloring of the painting is warm, bright, saturated, which transfers the April Crimean day filled with the sun and the smell of flowering trees.
