Jenny has worked on several, collaborative and research projects throughout Europe and US, over the past 23 years. Her practice encompasses painting, sculpture, drawing, collage, photography, book arts, textile art & installation. Jenny currently runs her arts practice from her studio in Yarra Valley Victoria, Australia. Jenny's artwork has been exhibited in Australia, Berlin, Paris, Spain, New York, the UK and the US and is represented in numerous private and public collections. She has received awards and residencies both nationally and internationally, and her digital artworks have been projected onto buildings in Times Square, New York and in 2017 at The Venice Biennale 57 in Italy. Jenny recently completed large scale artworks for the Rydges Hotel refurbishment in Melbourne Australia 2023. Jenny is an abstract painter based in Australia whose work focuses on the relationship between her art and her environment. Her artworks contain traces of history, of the marks left behind and of the creative process itself. Through intuitive mark making she explores the idea of decay and renewal, rust and rust-like effects, and represent spontaneous impressions of her surroundings. Investing in her creative process, she strives to bring to life a vision of her environment that transcends the features of a physical place. She invites the viewer to explore the moments of change, rust, and decay, as well as the renewal and growth, ultimately revealing the transformation of her environment. Through abstract painting, Jenny strives to capture the beauty of the creative process, while simultaneously acknowledging the colours, textures, and traces left behind within her environment.
