From the Silhouettes of Beauty Series: African Jewel is created with my acrylic pour paintings, mixed-media and digital art processes. Inspired from my travel to West and South Africa, this painting uses bold patterns combined with a black silhouette profile to depict the the rich culture of African people while drawing a historical connection the ocean's water. I draw inspiration from patterns of nature, portraits, animals, and the environment around me; therefore, my art depicts hints of personal life experiences, and social and environmental issues. Currently, I'm creating abstract photography by the acrylic pour painting method and with a technique I call "splashart"- a technique by which water and paint splash together. Simultaneously, I capture still images of the paint and water transitioning and morphing to create abstract photography images. Digital manipulation is added to create mesmerizing, bold, fractal pattern paintings and professional photography prints are produced.
