Description: Athena (goddess of wisdom and courage) is a force of strength. It features a curvaceous figure with a unique crackled glaze, symbolising Athena’s intricate armor and feminine warrior spirit. It will elevate any bookshelf, office table, or space. Dimensions: 2.5L x 4.5W x 6.5H in. (approx.) Weight: 1.6 lb. Ceramic with white crackled glaze. Includes Certificate of Authenticity. Handmade in New York City. About the Collection, Ethereal Beings: Highly gestural, these ceramic biomorphic forms compose one of my favorite collections. It offers both figurative hands (inspired by the refined and elegant movements of a ballerina) and abstract bodies named after goddesses that distort and contort to movements captured in space and time.

Elaine Truong is a self-taught artist best known for her ethereal and highly dynamic compositions in her sculptures and paintings. She has a background in materials science and works with ceramic stoneware, paper, and marble. Her pieces celebrate the elegant beauty and organic flow of abstract forms. Elaine has been painting and sculpting since a young age in Los Angeles, where she grew up, but recently revisited her art practice by creating over 40 commissions for private clients and donating the proceeds. For her unique bas relief sculptures, she uses a variety of surgical scalpels to carve and sculpt thick watercolor paper. She is inspired by nature, organic shapes, and the intersections of mathematics, science, and art. She is passionate about female empowerment, building community, and using art for healing. Elaine has lived in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Singapore. She currently resides in New York City.
