ABOUT THE ARTWORK
A nude inspired by Euan Uglow. A painting from a series of nudes. The painting is simplified of all unnecessary roughness and motifs, leaving only the Nude to be the center of attention. That, I have tried to achieve by amplifying the nude with clean, one colour surfaces with no patterns. ''By this post I state that this image is INSPIRED by Uglow and not a copie of it. Copies are realistic and clean imitations of original paintings. My version uses Uglow's nude as an example of a different artist approach to the same motif. Uglow uses clean and barely visible strokes, with geometrical and almost aquarelle feel as I use a very expressionistic and impressionistic brush stroke with different color usage and I show a more distorted body image, especially visible arround the hips, shoulders and knees.
