Caroline Helfer is a Swiss artist with a strong multi-generational artistic lineage. Her mother, Anna F.Helfer, and her uncle, Jakob Engler, are both listed in the renowned Allgemeines Künstlerlexikon(AKL) - the leading international biographical reference for artists. Her great-grandmother was awell-known fresco painter in Vienna - at a time when women in this profession were still a rarity. Hergreat-grandfather was a banknote engraver - a master of fine detail who created printing plates forcurrency.Caroline had her first exhibition in 1983 at the age of 20 - just one week after a near-fatal fall into amountain ravine. During her long recovery from severe brain and spinal injuries, she spent almostfour years encased in a steel-reinforced body brace. This experience shaped her artistic path andconnects her to her greatest inspiration: Frida Kahlo.Later, she worked for six years with the artist Bruno Weber and was directly involved in the creationof his famous sculptures and mosaics in the Bruno Weber Park in Dietikon. Her work combinestechnical precision with emotional depth, often moving between realism and deeply personalthemes
