My husband and I enjoy Gospel music, and this abstract expressionist painting is a memorial tribute to Janny & Bill Grein, who composed "Bread Upon the Water", as performed by the Gaither Vocal Band. It is fitting that the painting is a diptych, which means that the image is composed of two panels meant to be viewed as one, just as Janny & Bill were joined in life and art.

(2) 16" x 20" x 0.625" Oil on canvas panels, gallery wrapped, painted to extend image (needs no frame). Hanging hardware is included.

I'm interested in the language of abstraction, and I often use collage or multiple layers of paint to express multiple layers of experience. I work in oils, cold wax, watercolor, and sometimes alcohol inks, allowing the strengths of each medium to contribute to the overall expression of the piece. My work appears in private collections throughout the country.
