Mineia Martins

Mineia Martins is a Brazilian fine art and documentary photographer born in Goiás, Brazil, based between Miami, FL and Nashville, TN. Her practice spans photography, digital art, design and illustration — working across aerial imagery, animal portraiture, urban landscape and nature.
Her work has been published by National Geographic, TIME Magazine, CNN, ABC News, PBS, Le Parisien (France), Czech National Television and India Times, reaching audiences across five continents.
Her photograph “The Vertical Force — Iguaçu Falls” was selected as National Geographic’s Photo of the Day, May 12, 2017, honored with the National Geographic Daily Dozen recognition, November 30, 2016 (US), and featured as National Geographic Taiwan’s daily pick, January 21, 2017.
Her fine art photography was exhibited at Art Basel Miami Beach 2016, one of the world’s most prestigious international contemporary art fairs.
Her work is rooted in total immersion — she does not simply photograph a place, she lives it. From earning her Thai cooking certificate at the Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai to documenting the streets of New York, New Orleans, Shanghai and Lisbon, her images carry the intimacy of someone who stayed long enough to truly see.
