Antarctica, Two Adelies - Limited Edition of 5 Print

I was there in 1987. I went on official assignment but used my spare time to learn photography from a Swedish Wildlife Expert, Stephen. Thereafter, a book publisher took my slides and the draft but for nearly 15 years, could not return the slides – unfortunately for me, the company based in London went bankrupt! When I did get back the slides, their condition was not good, to put it mildly. I tried to digitize many but the result was not impressive. There were so many friends who wanted to see what I saw. I just hid my sadness behind a smile. Now, with creative digital manipulations, I have an opportunity to offer prints for your living and work spaces. All photos are taken by me and linked to stories untold. Now at 70, there is nothing else, I believe, I can do. Details are camouflaged and spots and fungi are hidden, inviting the viewer to see a different world of Antarctica through color, absence of colour, shape and expanse. Creativity through modification requires courage – both at the creator and the appreciator level. Such courage, we have learnt leads to styles. So, I tweak the shots to suit the context and so far down the river of time. The Antarctica collection is Limited (can be printed larger than 24x36 inches) and in no more than 5 authenticated copies. For special bulk orders, the original digital file can be sent so that the art collector can print it out in the print medium of his or her choice, at that end. Of course, the sale price will be at least four times higher; but can be negotiated involving Saatchi Art .
