About The Artwork
"Miss Sarajevo" is a work inspired by the song by Bono and Luciano Pavarotti. The woman as a beauty queen who passes through life without suspecting that this may be her last day is not to be seen... It's a hymn to fragility, to love. She is in the bathroom, invisible to the man who is waiting for her with his arms crossed. Her pumps, a symbol of seduction, bear witness to her presence. Moreover, the pumps have a history, it is attributed to two great French shoemakers: Charles Jourdan and Roger Vivier, they worked for Christian Dior who said he wanted to “finish the silhouette with a pencil stroke”. With a stroke of the brush, the story of the work remains to be discovered, according to one's own projection.
