ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This is a tall complex abstract wood scupture. It's made from red cherry wood. I love such flowing organic shapes. There is a self penetration in the upper part. You can immagine a plant, a strange organic organism, or you can only enjoy the movement of the shape. I call it luna, because in old science the cherry tree is the tree of the moon. It's fixed on a steel plate. The photos show it in an exhibition.

First I wanted to become a scientist but than I studied fine arts. I'm working as a sculpor and painter but sometimes there are also land-art projects. I'm teaching at a small artschool for young people at Donaueschingen. My artworks seems to be abstract, but there is a inspirition from nature. I'm often on the way observing their colors and shapes Also mathematics and music plays an important role. Sometimes I use wood and stones to make improvised music.
