About The Artwork

This portrait have two possibilities of interpretation, at least. At first, you can see a woman after an evening/night with too much red wine. At second: the feeling about, what have I done - or other one. My intention was the climate crisis and the ignorance of many human beings, in specific case of politicians.... Drawing is on toned Strathmore cardboard. Please note: If this drawing sold, I'll donate 100 $ from my profit to Greenpeace!

Born in the year 58 in Nuernberg (Germany/Bavarian). "Born as a draftsman/drawer" (Degas) is the motto of my life - I drew portraits from my earliest years and I am still fascinated by the diversity of the human face (of the naked female body as well). I love the old masters, especially Renaissance painter and my favourite models are women. I'm fascinated in: time, moments and curves and faces. It's my passion. The technical side of painting is the "very old school" style. E.g. Silver pen and resinoil. My "drawing-soul" loves to reduce to the essential. "Non finito" or Yohaku no bi (jap.). Til end of study (1991), I've worked / lived as an Artist in Cologne. From 1998 to 2021 (July 15, 2021 the "Ahr flood destroys my studio and about 700 works) I worked in my studio "artfusion" in Euskirchen (nearby Cologne). Currently I only work in Hellenthal (a small village in the forest of the Eifel).
