About The Artwork
After colonising our swamps, how do we untangle our roots...? I feel a need to document my travel observations from these past months. Over 600 days of travel from the northern tip of Europe to the southern most point of the continent. The rich cultural contrasts and diverse landscapes stand out, but I can't help but notice our ever encroaching hold on mother nature. If only our footprints were tiptoes! In this emotionally charged artwork, I've merged acrylics, collage, and ink to weave a tapestry that speaks to the human condition. The expressionist strokes and semi-abstract form capture a world where nature and humanity entwine. The work is signed on the front and back of the canvas and is ready to bring a thought-provoking ambience to any space it graces!
