Kelly Allison

How do our surroundings inform our identities ? How can we resurface the wilderness within us ? I’m drawn to unravelling this connection we have with our environments, trying to understand how our seascapes and landscapes shape us. The canvas as my narrative, I explore these questions using colour, texture and movement in fluid based mediums ; Our bodies of water being my greatest source of inspiration. My art aspires to bring delight and hints at the awe that offers Mother Nature.

Kelly Allison's artistic inclination flourished during her design and architectural studies in Canada, the UK and Sweden. Originally from Vancouver, she has been living abroad for many years, continues to travel extensively and today lives in France. This diverse cultural background, along with her observations of the natural world, inform her artwork.

Her works are part of private collections around the world.
