Jemma Austin

My first real ambition was to be a Doctor, but being highly squeamish, that was put on hold. I then focused my efforts onto Ballet. It wasn't really until GCSE that anyone said I had an "artistic" talent. I thought that was my brother's department. I took both Ballet and Art to college, but after an injury to my knee, Art was the only thing that stuck.

Firstly, I'm a painter. But in the last few years, instead of oils, I use a camera and chemicals to paint. Photography allows me to fully realise ideas and concepts. When I can't paint something, I photograph it and vice versa. Sometimes, paint is the only way to draw something up.

I now live in London studying Photography at Kingston and take on as many freelance/assistant jobs as I can!

Although a full time student, I am free for commissions, jobs, whatever you need!
