About The Artwork

Max Dupain (1911-1992) lived in Sydney, Australia and was Australia's most influential photographer. His work is found in galleries around the world and he is much admired by other creative photographers. He focused on black & white photography during his life with some of his best work involving beaches around Sydney. This image shows surf lifesavers competing in a open water race on Manly Beach. The print, produced from a scan of the original negative, is offered as a 75cm*74cm image (plus 5cm white margins) but other sizes are available. Printed on fine art fibre based Kodak matt inkjet 240gsm paper. Numbered Limited Edition – Certificate of Authenticity supplied with each print
