VIEW IN MY ROOM
Zeus of Artemision (copy), the original monumental bronze sculpture was found in two pieces at the bottom of the sea off the Cape of Artemision in the 1920s. To me the original sculpture is the epitome of human anatomical understanding. Although the eyes, possibly made of glass, shells or marble have gone, there is piercing gaze of power and gentle understanding.
