I am a self-taught artist. I love to "see" the creative process unfurl, whether it's painting or writing. Both arts have a distinct meditative quality for me.

All my degrees are in education. I have always been committed to the idea that all children can learn when the curriculum contains an element of an art, whether it's theatre, the visual arts, sculpture, etc.
