Donald Whitlow

I received a bachelor’s degree in fine art and also studied graphic design. I worked for many years in advertising and communications, working my way up from designer to VP/Creative Director. I worked in the USA, Thailand, and Saudi Arabia. A few years ago, I gave up corporate communications to work full-time as a painter. ​

My paintings are mostly expressive abstractions, with intense color and texture modulations that synthesize into fresh visuals and emotive energies.

When I'm not painting, I like to travel, hike, explore, and read books on spirituality, philosophy, the supernatural, and quantum physics. I find it amazing and inspiring how modern science has begun to support and add detail to many ancient beliefs...and how the quantum realm informs long-intuited (but often ignored) mysteries in our physical world.
