MY ARTIST STATEMENT
As an artist I work hard to develop a painting that speaks both to and to others about the struggles of life that exists through our shortcomings.
Part of my process before I begin painting is to read and listen to real life experiences of people and individuals who have passed through situations similar to my work am about to create on canvas. I do not merely want to capture the image or facial expressions with my brush strokes but rather with careful attention to emotions.
I try with every finished work to breathe reality into 2 dimensional emotions so that its designs, ideas, innovations and lifestyle are felt on my canvas. The challenge as with any recreated situation, my artwork speaks not only for me but for people who have not been heard.

ARTIST PROFILE
Iyeh Samuel Ujadu is a graduate of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
He studied Fine arts and specializes in Painting as a profession. An
aborigine of kogi state and currently a Corp member with the
Department of Fine Art, Ahmadu Bello University. He has loved art all
his life and beauty in nature is part of passion for the art. He has
interests in ink drawing and as well oil color painting. He is also a 2ND
runner up at the I-Create Skill Festival sponsored by BOSCH in
Kaduna State, Nigeria. NYSC discharge certificate 2019, bachelors’ degree certificate 2017,
