Astian Rey

ASTIAN REY
Born in 1987 in Kiev, Ukraine.
Astian Rey is the founder of his own direction of art - “Sacred Brutalism”. In his work he explores themes of religion, mysticism and the occult, as well as their role in the development of humanity.
Astian is known for his interdisciplinary approach to art, including sculpture, installation, literature and musical-performative experiments.
He is the author of the Codex Reptilius project, which is an artificially created mystical cult with its own book, sacred objects and music album.
The works are in private and public collections in Ukraine, the USA and Europe.

In 2010 was educated at the University Boris Grinchenko, Faculty of Fine Arts. Kiev/Ukraine
