Oleksandra Serhiienko

I was born in 1983 in Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine. In February 2022, due to Russia's full-scale invasion, I evacuated to Poland with my children, where I have been living ever since. I have a background in physics, but currently, I work in the field of cross-stitch design. In my artistic practice, I prefer watercolor.
As an artist, I strive to "manifest the invisible." In my understanding, this is a form of love, respect, and recognition of the value of life in all its manifestations. Because when you are invisible to the world, it's as if you don't exist.
