Ed Williamson

After spending over a decade playing professional rugby union in the English Premiership, when it was time to retire I decided to move to France and take up painting again.

I aim to create art that is not only beautiful, but that is challenging or intriguing.

I left school at 18 when I signed my first professional rugby contract with Newcastle Falcons. I stayed there until I was 26. I played for a selection of other teams in England and France before I retired to concentrate on painting.
