EDUCATION
Walter Kaune was born in Goslar, Germany, on 23 June 1945.
Since 1990 freelancing sculptor.
When in 1966 he finished school with the qualification to enter university,he first started to gain experience in several industrial firms.
He went abroad and lived and studied in Italy and Spain.
Then he returned to Germany to study literature, linguisticsand philosophy at several universities.
His studies he finished with the degree of a Ph.D. in philosophy.
Further studies at the Academy of Fine Arts of Brunswick initiatehis development as an artist. From 1977 to 1990 he worked as a teacher in Goslar.
Since 1990 he is a freelancing sculptor favouring metals.His sculptures have been shown in numerous art exhibitions.They found their way into public as well as private art collections.
Dr. Walter Kaune is Knight of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany.(Träger des Verdienstkreuzes am Bande des Verdienstordens der Bundesrepublik Deutschland).
