Billy Arvidson

I am interested in obtaining elements of realism within my images that are combinations of real and imagined but I do not want the viewer to mistake my paintings for a photograph at least not for too long if they do initialy. I prefer to focus on the sky and sea/landscape leaving figures out of my work (with the exception of horses which appear in my "Sunnyfield Farm" series of pastels, oils and gouache paintings). I find the sea and sky very similar as far as subject matter as the sky is often mirrored in the sea or reflected to a degree. I sometimes use my beaches and landscapes as a entryway to my seas and skys. I hope my images bring calmness and peace of mind to my collectors. Billy Arvidson
